Root Canal Treatment

If a tooth is infected due to trauma or caries a root canal treatment becomes necessary. As the alternative is the removal of the tooth, the only way to keep the tooth is a root canal treatment. During treatment all tissue in the tooth will be removed and the root canal system disinfected for the filling of the root. This will seal the tooth in combination with a top-up filling against bacteria. The success of this very work-intense treatment is controlled by x-rays, and a crown or part-crown may be placed on the tooth.

We only use the most recent scientific know-how and modern technology for root canal treatments in order to keep the infected tooth: a natural tooth is always better than any implant or other dentures.
